“I’m in my Enoughness Era babe.”

Hey You! I’m Melanie Rickey, the founder of The Enoughness. I’m also a fashion director, and recovered addict of pretty much everything.

Oh, and the word ‘Jegging’ was me.  Sorry about that.

I’m here because I’ve seen how things are going. We can all see it, and it’s high time we said a “hell no” to most of it, and start to reclaim our power to choose what’s just right, for us.

Sweden has a word for it: Lagom. Not too little, not too much, Just right.

Aristotle defined it with his Golden Mean.

Finland has been voted the happiest nation on earth for nine years in a row because of it,

and everyone, everywhere is searching for it.

It’s so powerful, I call it, ‘Cultural Ozempic’,

Because once you start actively finding your just right in life, other things naturally fall away.

And yet - we don’t have a positive and empowering word for it!

We don’t have a way to anchor it in our lives.

But I do: Enoughness.

What does it mean?

Old Suggestion

In the Collins Dictionary, its current status is as a “new word suggestion”

enoughness

“A state of being and having enough, of sufficiency or adequacy.

In the Oxford English Dictionary

enoughness

”The quality or fact of being enough; sufficiency, adequacy.”

But I know it’s way more powerful and fun than that.

New Suggestion

enoughness

“The state of being and having enough; of fulfilment, purpose, joy and satisfaction.

Usage: “I’m in my enoughness era babe.”

Let’s put it in the dictionary like this.

Let’s cultivate discernment amidst the noise.

Choose everyday joy over perfection.

Work out the exact enough for your good life.

Start your Enoughness life by listening to the podcast The Enoughness with Melanie Rickey.

So far we have 18 episodes exploring the subject in fun and serious ways with some amazing people including food legend Yotam Ottolenghi, fashion legend Clare Waight Keller, mental health legend Jodie Cariss of The Self Space and beauty supremo Sali Hughes.
